Locals urged to book to get active ahead of doors opening on leisure centres

We’re urging people to make use of our booking system so that they can get active when doors open on our facilities.

We are launching our online booking system on Sunday, April 18 as part of our Covid health and safety measures ahead of welcoming customers back on Monday, April 26 in line with Scottish Government guidelines.

Unlike the first lockdown, which saw us operate a phased re-opening programme, we will open doors on facilities on the same date. Work is progressing to address issues related to COVID health and safety measures at the Beacon Leisure Centre and we update customers with an opening date.

Customers will be able to book a range of activities on our website so that they can easily access programmes and facilities.

Emma Walker, chief executive for Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, said: “Our staff and facilities are ready and we are very much looking forward to welcoming customers back to their local leisure centres. Prior to the December lockdown, we had a fantastic response from customers who were satisfied with the Covid health and safety measures we had in place as well as the level of staff advice and knowledge around relevant protocols, so are very keen to get going again.

“I’d encourage people to book ahead so that they can get back to enjoying the health and wellbeing benefits of physical activity.”
